Did you see the recent cosmic event? Venus, Jupiter, and the moon were close together in the southwestern sky.
In this particular perspective, the planets and moon appear to be close together but in reality the moon is about 250,000 miles away, Venus about 96 million miles, and Jupiter about 540 million miles away from planet Earth. 7th and 8th Grade Science students and parents/guardians: Make sure you read and sign the science safety contract.
